The 34-year-old singer's representative confirmed the Friday night mishap to The Tennessean newspaper.

And now Carrie Underwood is currently recuperating after being hospitalized for a broken wrist after a fall on the steps outside her home.

Her husband, former Nashville Predators hockey captain Mike Fisher, traveled back to Nashville to be with her.

She was treated at a hospital for cuts and abrasions, in addition to her wrist injury, according to the paper, which cites a statement released by Underwood's spokesperson.

On Sunday morning, Underwood said she'll be alright in a tweet and thanked her followers for the well wishes. The statement said that her recovery will "take some time" and she "appreciates all prayers and well wishes".

News Channel 5 reports Underwood's injury has made her scheduled appearance at Sunday's Country Rising concert impossible.

The doctors chose to release her from the hospital not long after they put a cast on her wrist.

Other country stars such as Jason Aldean, Sam Hunt, Lady Antebellum, and Reba McEntire are also set to perform at the benefit concert.
