Bad for Besiktas: Arsenal & Marouane Fellaini

Mourinho believes the pressure to deliver his first league title at United this season is harsh as they are facing fierce competition from City Tottenham Hotspur Chelsea Arsenal and Liverpool

Couple this with an injury to the increasingly important Marouane Fellaini, alongside a severe drop in form for Ander Herrera and attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and United can't be blamed for attempting to rectify the situation in the January transfer window.

Fellaini's decision has shocked the club at a time when the player has never been as highly thought of by the fans or Jose Mourinho.

United have also considered the possibility of offering Andreas Pereira - who is now thriving on loan at Valencia - plus cash for Soler.

The Turkish side Besiktas have been linked with a New Year move for Fellaini, but United will not seek to cash...

There will not have been a huge increase in his wages given that the player turns 30 next week.

According to the Italian publication, Arsenal are keen on signing Man United midfielder Marouane Fellaini. The Belgian-born Brazilian is on loan at the Mestalla this season and has made nine appearances thus far.

Fellaini, 29, can sign a pre-contract agreement with an overseas club from January 1 and has been linked with Galatasaray, Besiktas, AC Milan, Roma and Valencia.

Things did not improve under Louis van Gaal when he was used as a target man late in games just to fire long balls to.

He scored in the Europa League semi-final victory over Celta Vigo and also started in the 2-0 win over Ajax in the final.

Despite struggling to force his way into Mourinho's first-team plans last season, he is thriving this term, and he says it owes much to their relationship having blossomed.
