ATTN '90s Babies: A Spice Girls Reunion Is Reportedly Happening Next Year

With the Spice Girls in Miami in 1996

All five of the London beauties made a decision to come together after Victoria Beckham agreed to be involved, since she was the main one contesting it throughout the years.

The uber-popular '90s girl group Spice Girls will reunite next year for a compilation album and TV special.

The source added: "And getting Victoria to agree has been a coup for everyone involved, given she has always been the person holding back on a reunion".

It's thought that the ladies have become closer recently thanks to various events such as Mel B's bitter divorce battle and the birth of Geri's son Monty.

The Spice Girls are apparently eyeing a reunion.

"But gradually the ice thawed, and Mel was the one who drove that". In November previous year, three participants of the group - Geri Halliwell, Emma bunton and Melanie brown - have released a new song For Her Song in honor of the 20th anniversary of the group. In London Olympics, they performed "Wannabe" and "Spice Up Your Life" at the closing ceremony.

After years of false starts and speculation over a reunion, the Spice Girls are reportedly FINALLY getting back together next year - with all five members including Victoria Beckham.

Geri, said to be the driving force behind plans to reform, told Red magazine in October she had "given up trying" after recent stalled attempts.

All hope is not lost, however, as, when asked about a potential Spice Girls reunion, Mel C was previously quoted on The Nightly Show saying: 'I kind of feel like it's not really doing the band justice to go out as a four piece, whoever's missing it doesn't matter'.

Mel C was called Sporty Spice, Victoria was known as Posh Spice, Mel B was Scary Spice, Emma Bunton was Baby Spice and Geri Halliwell was Ginger Spice.
