'A Quiet Place' starring Emily Blunt is one creepy trailer

'A Quiet Place' Teaser Previews Emily Blunt in John Krasinski's Thriller

Paramount Pictures has released a teaser trailer for A Quiet Place, an upcoming horror starring Emily Blunt (Edge of Tomorrow, Sicario) and John Krasinski (The Office, 13 Hours).

The trailer shows the family as they move quietly around their run-down home and property, using sign language to communicate with each other and playing Monopoly with felt pieces.

Take a look at the trailer above.

The pair hasn't said much about the film, which boasts a script co-written by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, and this first glimpse does an effective job of setting up the concept and then getting out of there before revealing too much.

Real life husband and wife John Krasinski (who also wrote and directed the movie) and Emily Blunt play parents to two young children, living a mostly-idyllic and entire silent life in the middle of the woods.

The cast also includes Noah Jupe (Houdini and Doyle, The Night Manager) and Millicent Simmonds (Wonderstruck) as the couple's children who are growing up in a silent world.

The Oscar nominated Blunt (SICARIO) and Krasinski have been married since 2010. That should make for a very unique time at movie theaters, when A Quiet Place is released on April 6, 2018. But as you'll soon see, the silence won't save them.
