CJ Mc Collum Suspended In The First NBA Regular Season

The Suns' previous worst loss was by 44 points, in a game against the Seattle Supersonics in 1988.

The NBA has made a decision to suspend Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard C.J. McCollum for the season-opener for leaving the bench during a preseason game, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Their 48-point win was the largest season-opening margin of victory in National Basketball Association history.

James Harden had 27 points and nine assists as Houston followed its win over the Warriors with a victory in Sacramento.

IN in its first game since trading All-Star Paul George, had its highest point total since a 144-point game against Denver on November 9, 2010. He finished with a game-high 27 on 10-of-20 shooting with four three-pointers plus had five rebounds, five assists and three blocks, tying his career high.

Suns coach Earl Watson said he was "embarrassed" by what happened.

The Detroit Pistons took on the Charlotte Hornets, prevailing in front of their home crowd in a 102-90 victory.

What they wrote: We know what Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum are capable of, but the real X factor here is Jusuf Nurkic, who emerged as a legitimate third option during the latter portion of last season after being traded from Denver. Fultz, the 2017 No. 1 choice, scored 10 points.

In Indianapolis, Victor Oladipo had 22 points in his Indiana debut, Darren Collison added 21 points and 11 assists in his return to Indianapolis and the Pacers held off Brooklyn.
