Shin Megami Tensei V Announced as Switch Exclusive

Shin Megami Tensei V Officially Announced for Nintendo Switch

Today, Atlus released a trailer revealing the game officially as Shin Megami Tensei V. With Persona living happily on Sony consoles, it looks like Atlus is set to keep Shin Megami Tensei proper with Nintendo.

After the announcement was made, it was confirmed that Weekly Famitsu magazine will have a developer interview for the game. A release date was not yet announced.

Shin Megami Tensei V, which is being developed with Unreal Engine 4, will take place in modern Tokyo. The long-running demon-summoning series is coming to the Switch.

It would have been enough just to see the first fleeting glimpses of the game-which looks handsome in Unreal Engine 4-but the real bombshell is the Switch exclusivity for the upcoming project.

The game was first announced during the Nintendo Switch unveiling event last January, though it only had a working title. Of course, if you want an even better idea of what the series is about then you should check out Shin Megami Tensei IV or Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse for the 3DS.
