The couple began dating in in September 2014 and are said to have got engaged just seven months later, although the pair refused to explicitly confirm or deny the reports.

Robert went on: 'It's one of the most frustrating things in the world, you want to be able to (be more open), but it's literally like, you get stuck in this position but you have to make this decision whether you want to let the insane people in'. "The whole thing with Rob saying they are 'kind of engaged" speaks for itself. The former couple's break-up comes just months after Robert opened up about how hard the attention from fans makes it to protect a relationship.
