Rep. Wilson is "killing" the Democratic Party

The Florida congresswoman locked in a dispute with the Trump administration accused White House Chief of Staff John Kelly of lying to the American public about her. La David Johnson, one of the soldiers killed in the ambush in Niger earlier this month.

Myeshia Johnson, who is carrying the couple's third child, said she "heard him stumbling on trying to remember my husband's name and that hurt me the most".

Johnson, of Miami Gardens, Florida, corroborated the story of Rep. Frederica Wilson, D-Fla.

The widow of fallen soldier Sgt.

Johnson, 25, was one of four U.S. Special Forces - or Green Berets - killed in Niger when they were attacked October 4 by militants tied to the Islamic State. Staff Sgt. Bryan C. Black, 35, of Puyallup, Washington; Staff Sgt. Jeremiah W. Johnson, 39, of Springboro, Ohio; and Staff Sgt. Dustin M. Wright, 29, of Lyons, Georgia, were killed along with Johnson in Niger.

Trump's tweet will do little to shut down a controversy that has swirled around the president since last week. Everything Trump does is a brilliant distraction and the Democratic party engineered a story about a shitty phone call to a slain soldier's widow and that somehow circles back to Hillary Clinton and Russian Federation.

"That's what hurt me the most because if my husband is out here fighting for our country, and he risked his life for our country, then why can't you remember his name?" she said.

Representative Frederica Wilson of Florida said last week on MSNBC that Trump spoke in an "almost joking" manner to Johnson, and failed to remember her husband's name. "I just can't even imagine why he would fabricate something like that". "I was very angry at the tone of his voice and how he said it". In that time, Trump has insulted Wilson, revealed he nearly certainly doesn't know the names of anyone involved in yet another self-made scandal, and got his chief of staff to blatantly lie about Wilson as well.

Wilson's account of the phone call was "100 percent correct", Johnson told George Stephanopoulos Monday on Good Morning America.

Just before he was buried, Myeshia Johnson kissed the casket.

"They won't show me a finger, a hand".

"They won't tell me anything". I know my husband's body from head to toe.

"He couldn't remember my husband's name", Myeshia Johnson said in an interview that aired Monday on ABC's "Good Morning America" program. "It could be empty for all I know".

She added, "They won't tell me".

The president also appeared to validate a supporter's suggestion Saturday that the news media is engaged in a conspiracy to place undue focus on the spat with Wilson as a means of diverting attention from other issues.
