Premier League Predictions: Liverpool vs

Marouane Fellaini Knee injury

Jamie Carragher has named his Premier League team of 2017, and it's hard to argue against the inclusion of any of these players.

To be honest, Arsenal fans should be hoping that Liverpool have a good game this weekend, because they are playing their old rivals Manchester United and we could do with someone taking some points off them and stopping the worrying momentum that Jose Mourinho and his team have been building.

Carragher selected his team of the year for his column in The Daily Telegraph, and it is dominated by Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

Unfortunately I am going to have to start with a Manchester United player, who I actually think is the best goalkeeper in the world at the moment.

Centre-backs: Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen (Tottenham)'Alderweireld last season was the outstanding centre-back.

"Alongside him his mate wasn't far behind him, Vertonghen". He has a superb defensive record with Chelsea and he scores goals'.

I'm going to go with someone who doesn't really play at right-back because his Chelsea team play a slightly different system with three at the back, but Azpilicueta has to go in there as he is one of the best defenders in the Premier League.

Moving up the pitch, Carragher has picked a midfield three of N'Golo Kante, Philippe Coutinho and Kevin De Bruyne.

After all, Leicester City won the Premier League title not so long ago without having a single world-class player in their squad at the time.

Even if Tottenham do not win the championship, it will be a successful season for them if they end up in the top four and qualify for the Champions League group stage for the third year in a row.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan's form since the start of the season, as well as Christian Eriksen's displays over the last year, would easily put them in contention for a place in anyone's Premier League team of the year. He adds goals, pace, assists'.
