Pauley Perrette confirms she's leaving CBS procedural 'NCIS'

Pauley Perrette NCIS

Pauley Perrette confirmed via Twitter today that she will be leaving her role as Abby Sciuto on NCIS at the end of Season 15.

Meanwhile, CBS and NCIS itself are not angry at her for what seems to be her decision to depart.

In the tweet, Perrette shot down rumors that her departure from the show were related to a business venture or a disagreement with CBS, which airs "NCIS".

"Torres' partner mysteriously vanishes, and the subsequent investigation leads to new evidence in a decade-old murder; Ducky's friend presents him with a new opportunity during his guest lecture series."
. How do you think she'll leave?

While it's no Criminal Minds, NCIS is no stranger to occasional cast changes. Michael Weatherly followed three years later to star on his own CBS drama, Bull.

We do think that NCIS will continue to press onward, but the show is hardly going to be the same.

NCIS will lose a key member of the team after this season.

She was one of the original cast members to remain on the show. We at CarterMatt don't get the sense that this will be the final season of the show, so we figure that somehow the network will find a way to make this work.

So it is true that I am leaving NCIS. The news of the actor's departure comes a week after NCIS kicked off its fifthteenth season on September 26.
