Nokia 9 leaked renders reveal thin bezels, dual cameras

Nokia 9 renders hint at curved edge screen

THE LONG-RUMOURED Nokia 9, HMD Global's upcoming Android flagship, has been shown off from all angles in new 3D renders.

Now, it's entirely possible HMD will again focus its marketing efforts on gimmicky stuff like a Dual-Sight mode for the front and rear shooters of this Nokia 9, built-in live video streaming capabilities or OZO spatial 360-degree audio. At least the Galaxy S8 and G6, as the Nokia 9 is tipped to sport a 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED screen with slim surrounding borders. They have published a series of high-resolution renders of the Nokia 9 and leaked some of its specs. The curved design looks fantastic, though it is hard to see the actual outline of the display. Though it might be the Nokia 8's equal in terms of specs, based on these images done by OnLeaks for CompareRaja, the Nokia 9 will jump on the bezel-less and curved edge display train that Samsung is now driving.

No word yet on when Nokia and HMD will announce the Nokia 9, especially since it doesn't seem to follow the conventional smartphone release cadence. It appears to feature a dual camera setup and a fingerprint sensor at the rear. Meanwhile, we don't know much about the dual cameras rendered today, but the Nokia 8 already boasts high-quality Zeiss optics, and this time, the snappers pop out, suggesting a crucial upgrade. One notable thing from these renders is the lack of headphone jack. Perhaps the Nokia 9 will ship with USB-C headphones along with a 3.5mm headphone jack adapter, which has usually been the case with other Android phone manufacturers that have removed the headphone jack. The Nokia 9 may possibly arrive with Android Oreo onboard. The phone is said to come with a bigger 5.7-inch display that will be nearly be almost bezel-less.
