Meryl Streep Speaks Out Against Harvey Weinstein: 'The Behavior Is Inexcusable'

The Los Angeles Police Department has opened an investigation into Harvey Weinstein after a person has come forward with an allegation of sexual assault against the disgraced movie mogul.

"Robbery Homicide Div has interviewed a potential sexual assault victim involving Harvey Weinstein in 2013". NY police have already launched two active sex crime investigations into Weinstein, and London's Metropolitan Police are looking into allegations made by three other women.

Though he apologized immediately for his inappropriate behavior, he "unequivocally denied" any allegations of non-consensual sex in a statement provided to The New Yorker magazine by his spokeswoman.

"He ... bullied his way into my hotel room, saying, 'I'm not going to [have sex with] you, I just want to talk, '" the woman said.

She spurned him, "thinking at the moment that if he were to rape me or kill me, would anybody find out and stop him?" On the latest allegation, she said: "I can't respond to some anonymous complaint". "I decided that I didn't want to sell myself to enter Hollywood", she writes in her Facebook post. "It sickens me still", she said, telling the Times that she was afraid to report Weinstein to authorities at the time, but confided in a priest, a friend and a nanny.

The model-actress, who was 34 at the time, is well-known in Italy where she appeared on the cover of Italian Vogue and as an actress in Italian films. He credited the women who have stepped forward since the scandal erupted on October 5 following the publication of an explosive New York Times story.
