Manchester City streak seals manager of the month for Guardiola

Striker Sergio Aguero has completed a full training session with Manchester City and could be available for Saturday's Premier League game against Stoke City, two weeks after sustaining a broken rib in a road accident.

Guardiola's side won all four fixtures, against Liverpool, Watford, Crystal Palace and Chelsea, scoring 17 goals without conceding.

The Argentina global sustained a rib injury in a auto crash in Amsterdam late last month and there were initial fears he could be out for several weeks.

Kane got back on track the following weekend with another double as Tottenham ran out 3-2 winners at West Ham United before adding two more goals in their 4-0 demolition of promoted Huddersfield Town on September 30.

Aguero went to Twitter in order to quell fears over his injury and his swift recovery will come as a major boost for Guardiola, who can now take a lead over Manchester United, should the Red Devils drop points on their visit to Anfield on Saturday ( 14 October).

The club is still dubious about Aguero's condition and is seeking time to announce his inclusion in the team.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane was named player of the month after scoring six goals in four league games.

The 29-year-old is just one goal short of Eric Brook's 78-year record of 177 goals for the club.
