LSU Tigers Roll Over Ole Miss

The Rebels (3-4 overall, 1-3 in the SEC) have five games remaining: Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana-Lafayette, Texas A&M and Mississippi State.

The Tigers out-gained Ole Miss (3-4, 1-3 SEC), 593-347 in total offense.

Shea Patterson has led the Rebels to three wins, including the season opener against South Alabama.

Guice only scored once, but carved up the Landshark defense with runs of 59, 48, 33 and 26 yards.

The junior from Baton Rouge had company in the history-making category against Ole Miss. This was the 6-foot, 232-pound Williams' first 100-yard rushing game of the campaign.

The Tigers have since won three consecutive games, all against SEC schools.

Fellow safety John Battle grabbed his first interception of the season and second of his career, on the first Ole Miss drive of the third quarter for a 19-yard return.

One amusing moment during all the pregame hype was the comment made by Coach O about his days as head coach of Ole Miss. After trainers took him to the locker room and examined him, Patterson returned to the field in the second half and played most of it with a knee brace. He completed 10 of 23 passes for 116 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions, and appeared to be favoring his injured knee.
