'Jennifer was forced to do naked line-up'

'Perfectly f*ckable': JLaw on the grim reality of a Hollywood career

She said producers of an unnamed film had even directed her to loose weight, reports said. She was also told that another actress had been fired for failing to lose weight that quickly.

Lawrence concluded her speech by expressing support of Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy's call for a Hollywood commission against harassment, and vowing to "lend my ear".

Speaking at the event Monday, she said that seeing so many women open up about their experiences has been "oddly unifying".

Recalling the traumatic experience of a taking part in a nude line-up with five women who were thinner than her, she said: "We are stood side-by-side with only tape covering our privates".

A number of actresses have been coming forward with their experiences with Hollywood executives after producer Harvey Weinstein was hit with a number of sexual harassment and assault allegations earlier this month (Oct17).

Lawrence was afraid to lose out on the role, especially since she heard the actress who had the role before her was sacked for not losing the weight.

"After that degrading and humiliating lineup, the female producer told me I should use the naked photos of myself as inspiration for my diet", she continued, finding the humor in the ridiculous situation. "He said he didn't know why everyone thought I was so fat, he thought I was 'perfectly fuckable, '" Lawrence said.

Jennifer admitted she was "trapped" because she felt she had to let herself be treated that way for the sake of her career.

She told the audience, "in a dream world, everyone is treated with the exact same level of respect". Im still learning that I dont have to smile when a man makes me uncomfortable. But after she was cast in the Hunger Games films, things changed-because she had become "a movie star", who had "the power to say no".

"I want you to know we're here for you". Lawrence, who worked with Weinstein for her Oscar-winning role in "Silver Linings Playbook", said she was "deeply disturbed" to hear the news, People Magazine reported. "This kind of abuse is inexcusable and absolutely upsetting".
