Injury boost: Arsenal defender fit to take on Watford

Shkodran Mustafi

Arsenal will be looking to maintain their winning run when they take on Watford FC in the Premier League this weekend.

Following two defeats from their opening three Premier League matches, Arsenal are unbeaten through seven outings in all competitions, with four successive victories.

Shkodran Mustafi, Mesut Ozil, Danny Welbeck, Laurent Koscielny and others are all either doubts for Saturday's game or have already been ruled out.

The Arsenal boss has admitted Sead Kolasinac is also struggling with a hip problem suffered playing for Bosnia.

Danny Welbeck and Mesut Ozil are expected to be available for selection following injury; but Alexis Sanchez, Alex Iwobi, Olivier Giroud and Alexandre Lacazette have all been involved during the global break.

"Kolasinac is a minor problem, a hip problem".

"We've lost Mustafi for about four to six weeks", said Gunners manager Arsene Wenger. "But he trained on his own and the first signs are positive, so we made a decision to give him a test tomorrow", he added.

"Koscielny will have a test tomorrow", Wenger added.

"Watford are a strong side, well balanced and a tough opposition for everybody".

'If he has no pain on his Achilles tendon he will play'.

It was in Belarus where Wilshere showed shades of the form that saw him regarded as one of England's brightest young players when he first broke through at The Emirates.

Koscielny has been managing the problem for several seasons and, although he had not joined in full training at the start of the week, the intention is for him to resume with the squad ahead of Saturday. "I am more concerned that yesterday afternoon I watched the whole game Brazil against Chile to see how hard the game was and I must say he got some special treatment in this game".
