The new Honor 7X is the successor to the last year's popular mid-range smartphone, Honor 6X. Earlier this month, the company unveiled the Honor 9i in India with a 5.9-inch FullView display offering 18:9 aspect ratio.

According to Honor, the 7X will be offered in Gold, Blue and Black colours. Under the hood, the device is powered by Kirin 659 Octa-core SoC with 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB, or 64 GB, or 128 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 256 GB). "The Honor 7X has a 5.93" display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2160.

In terms of optics, the new Honor 7X houses a dual rear camera setup that includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor with LED Flash and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.

The Honor 7X runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 skinned on top.

Another highlight of the device is its dual camera setup at the back. Coming to the pricing, the device is priced at 1299 Yuan, 1699 Yuan, and 1999 Yuan for the 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage variants.

The device will be available in India and other markets soon and should start around ₹12,499 in India. This is the same chip powering the recently launched Honor 9i.

Elsewhere, the phone boasts of a full-metal body and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, much like it was in the case of the Honor 6X. It will go on sale in China on October 17, a day after Huawei is expected to launch the flagship Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro flagship smartphones. On the battery front, the Honor 7X is fuelled by a 3,340mAh non-removable battery that rated to deliver up to 21 hours of talktime and up to 22 days of standby time on a single charge.

It is now available to pre-order and the sales will begin from October 17th. On the front, the device offers an 8 MP front-facing camera with beauty mode.
