Gal Gadot may to star in post WWII revenge thriller 'Ruin'

Her star ascendant after stepping from Fast and Furious to Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot has added post-World War II revenge thriller Ruin to her upcoming schedule.

But before Gadot starts work on the confirmed sequel to the DC Comics superhero flick, it appears the star will take on a key character in Justin Kurzel's next film.

The film is being produced by Landis and David Goyer, and if a deal can be closed between Gal and the studio fairly soon, filming will begin in early 2018.

Ruin centres on an ex-Nazi captain in post-Second World War Germany who seeks to rectify his past by hunting down the surviving members of his former SS Death Squad.

It remains unclear what role Gadot may take in the film, and no other casting announcements have been made as yet.

Gadot will next be seen as the Amazonian warrior in Justice League, which is slated to hit cinemas from 17 November (17).

Director Kurzel's previous credits include the very dark Shakespeare adaptation Macbeth and the disappointing video game film Assassin's Creed, both starring Michael Fassbender.

Gadot, who is repped by WME, is also attached to star opposite Bradley Cooper in MGM's supernatural thriller Deeper.

Fassbender and Cotillard were again on board for Kurzel's adaptation of video game franchise Assassin's Creed in 2016, and while that third film was less successful at review, it more or less doubled its US$125 million (RM527.1 million) production budget on a US$240 million worldwide box office.
