The first team drawn for each of the ties will be at home for the first leg.

Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland are likely to be in the third pot if they come through next month's European play-offs.

Denmark have moved up seven places in the rankings following results in their qualifiers against Armenia and Montenegro, and will now be seeded alongside Switzerland, Italy and Croatia.

The final champion of World Cup, Germany, maintained its place in ranking summit.

Switzerland, Italy, Croatia and Denmark will be seeded for November's World Cup qualification play-offs after the latest Federation Internationale de Football Association world rankings were published on Monday.

Sadly, they'll still be unseeded for the draw along with Northern Ireland (23rd), Sweden (25th) and Greece (47th).

The top 10 positions in the world rankings are as follows; Germany (1st), Brazil (2nd), Portugal (3rd), Argentina (4th), Belgium (5th), Poland (6th), France (7th), Spain (8th), Chile (9th) and Peru (10th).

Peru, who face New Zealand in November as they attempt to end a 36-year absence from the World Cup, climbed into the top 10 for the first time.

Wales have dropped one place to 14th in the world after James McClean's belter in Cardiff.
