Famous Faces Have Their Say On Jamie And Louise Redknapp's 'Split'

Former footballer Jamie, 44, now a Sky Sports pundit, is said to blame her time on Strictly for their marital woes.

On her ITV morning chat show Lorraine, Lorraine Kelly didn't seem too impressed with the former Eternal singer's alleged decision to choose her career above her marriage. "I feel I'm coming back to who I really am", she added.

Now, Redknapp has revealed that she although she loves her "amazing" husband of 20 years, she has to throw herself back into her career and reclaim her identity.

Celebrity Big Brother star Nicola tweeted: "I'm so confused at this Louise Redknapp and Jamie split?" Looking after the house and my family was my reality.

She told The Telegraph's Stella magazine at the weekend that it was her return to Strictly Come Dancing a year ago that rekindled her desire to perform - and judging by these pictures she certainly looks like pretty hot property.

"I didn't want to continue running around after everyone else, and occasionally promoting a yogurt or doing a little TV presenting job", she told the newspaper.

Louise said: "I wanted to sing, wanted to perform".

Some agreed with her view, with one commenting: 'I agree with you definitely a midlife crisis!

But Nicola, 36, has hit out at the singer over this as she doesn't understand why she needs to be single to go back to work.

"I actually felt physically sick at the idea that I'd never have that buzz again, that fulfilment I get from performing".

'It's really hard to balance, we know that, but she could have had someone in to help, and he could have done a bit more - she could have had the best of both worlds, ' Lorraine continued. I loved being pushed to see what I could do. Sometimes I felt like crying because deep down inside me this voice was screaming, "This is what I have been missing!".

It comes after Louise opened up about her marriage to Jamie - whom she shares sons Charlie, 13, and beau, nine, with. I just don't understand why she left him...

Good on you, we say!

"There must be more to it, I don't know, we just need to get her in to talk to her!" They've got two children so I hope they work it out because they're both lovely people.

Louise is now starring as Sally Bowles in the touring production of Cabaret, which kicked off at the Wimbledon Theatre last month.

Admitting that she's not sure what this will do to her marriage, she continued: 'I have no idea what is going to happen, all I know is that I fought for this, it's taken everything, but this is something I need to do - for me'.
