Demi Lovato Reflects on Sobriety and Breakups in Her New Documentary Trailer

JBL Fest 2017- Live! Featuring Demi Lovato & DNCE

"I was not easy to work with", Lovato says in the documentary, before Nick Jonas chimes in, "And then this episode happened" (referring to the punching, presumably).

'I went on like a bender for like two months, where I was using daily, ' she continues.

Demi Lovato opens up about some of her past struggles with drug abuse and depression in her Simply Complicated documentary series.

The documentary also promises to track her road to recovery, sobriety and her continued success in the industry.

From the opening seconds, it's clear to see that Demi is going to be brutally honest during the documentary, similarly to the material on her latest album, Tell Me You Love Me. Demi gets frank about the incident in which she punched a back up dancer, and talks about how she hit the self destruct button with her addictions. "And that's the best I can do". "I'm on a journey to discover a life with no demons", she says in the trailer.

As they watch scenes with Lovato and Jonas, who played love interests in the Disney film, Lovato's friend Matthew Scott asks, "Did you have a crush on him, like, this whole time?" to which Lovato responds, "Oh, yeah".

"When I'm comfortable in my own skin, I feel confident". She's been there for me when I needed her.
