Arsenal want to sign Man United star next summer

Arsenal are interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Rafinha

Citing reports in Spain, it says they are eager to "take advantage of Jose Mourinho's reluctance to hand Martial a starting spot" by bringing him to the Camp Nou.

Manchester United are willing to offer Anthony Martial to Barcelona for Ivan Rakitic in a swap-deal, as per surprising reports from Diario Gol.

The Gunners are looking to replace Alexis Sanchez who looks odds-on to leave the Emirates by the end of the season, with Manchester City favourites for his signature.

Given Sanchez's importance to the club, Wenger on the look out for another high calibre calibre forward, and, according to Transfer Market Web, French global and Manchester United star Anthony Martial is on the shortlist.

The Portuguese boss is apparently a huge admirer of the Croatia global and is willing to take a huge financial loss on Martial in order to sign him.

French forward Anthony Martial has been identified by Barcelona as a replacement for long term injury victim Ousame Dembele.

Martial had a sensational debut campaign at Old Trafford, and has made a similarly bright start to the ongoing season, despite not being a guaranteed starter.

Up next for Martial's United is a Premier League clash with Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday (12:30pm).

Speaking of Martial last month, Mourinho said: "If you want just a word [to describe Martial], it's "happiness".

"He goes from the bench, even if it is for 10 minutes like in the last match at home, he tries to enjoy and try to give something in these extra minutes. I am very pleased with his attitude overall and then it's easier to play well".
