Last year, after Joshua knocked out Dominic Breazeale in London, Takam followed the Brit to his hotel and demanded that he fight him.

Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua said on Wednesday (October 18) that he is in no rush to fight in the United States as he prepares to take on Frenchman Carlos Takam in Cardiff.

Having already felled a legend in the form of Wladimir Klitschko, becoming the most unsafe heavyweight in the world in the process, it looks like Anthony Joshua is about to give fans the homegrown "Mega Fight" they've been asking for (haven't you heard them?).

Kubrat Pulev says pulling out of the Anthony Joshua fight was tough but that his career was not driven by financial forces " I take it as a sign.

The fight will go ahead on 28 October at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

"Yeah, me and him will get down and dirty real soon it's just fighting talk", Joshua told TalkSport when asked if he could be one of Fury's three opponents next year.

Joshua's explosive power and brutal knockouts have earned the heavyweight champion hordes of fans, but the Briton insists that style will not work against every opponent.

He added Takam - with 35 wins from 39 fights - was not to be underestimated. He registered two wins since losing by unanimous decision to the now-WBO title holder Joseph Parker in May 2016. "We had prepared for a 6'4 rangy fighter now we've got a 6'1 little machine". I swear. It was the Breazeale fight.

"So I think the way to beat Tyson Fury is like a Mike Tyson style, but you need a lot of energy and you need to be fit and strong". He came to the fight, then waited for me in reception.

"This is his golden ticket to shock the world".

"My wealth is the undying love of the Bulgarian people, from whom I always buy strength and inspiration and that gives me the meaning of everything I do!" Takam weighs 22 stone.

"My inside game has definitely improved, so I think if we have to stand on the inside and start trading off, it will definitely be an entertaining fight for the people watching. I've known him a long time and knew he wouldn't turn down this opportunity".
