West Ham United's Ayew dedicates goal to brother on birthday — EXTRA TIME

Premier League awards for August: Liverpool star Saido Mane & Huddersfield boss David Wagner scoop monthly

David Wagner believes Huddersfield were too nervous and looked like a team which has just been promoted as they lost to West Ham.

The Hammers forward led Slaven Bilic's men to their first win of the season with an assist for Pedro Obiang and his match winning goal following his introduction for Javier Hernández in 64th minute.

"We have to be braver and more comfortable on the ball". It was very important for us.

"We played good. It wasn't a nice performance but it was a top performance in all other stuff, in the second balls, in determination, in closing them down, in getting the corners and free-kicks and all that".

The Huddersfield boss admitted that his players "looked nervous" and "were not courageous enough" during their 2-0 defeat on Saturday, adding "we have to be better than this".

Huddersfield's chances were rare and while they did hit the bar through Tom Ince late on, that came with the visitors already two goals down. "We made so many unforced errors today".

"We have to look at ourselves. It was an unlucky goal that we conceded but we have to be honest West Ham were stronger today". We will learn from it and we will make it better next Saturday.

"It's an honour for me to receive this award but I would like to take it for the whole club", said Wagner, who was short-listed alongside Liverpool's Juergen Klopp, Manchester City's Pep Guardiola, Manchester United's Jose Mourinho and West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis.
