While announcing the executive order which is aimed at curbing North Korea's nuclear missile programme, Trump said the measure would allow sanctions against "individuals and companies that finance and facilitate trade" with Pyongyang.

The speech came shortly after the Pentagon announced that US bombers flew a mission over global waters near the east coast of North Korea that went farther north of the Demilitarized Zone than any USA aircraft have this century.

President Trump had also called North Korean leader Kim Jong Un "a madman" who doesn't mind starving or killing his people'.

Monitoring sites in countries around North Korea reported seismic activity in that country Saturday, but differed on whether the quake was likely to be natural or man-made, such as a nuclear test.

Kim considers that President Trump has mental problems and that the U.S. declared the war itself.

"The solution must be political".

North Korea's Foreign Minister has told the United Nations US President Donald Trump is "a mentally deranged person full of megalomania".

North Korea has threatened to conduct a hydrogen bomb test over the Pacific sparking fears World War 3 could break out as Kim Jon-un builds up his nuclear arsenal. The rare statement from the North Korean leader responded to Trump's combative speech days earlier where he not only issued the warning of potential obliteration for the isolated nation, but also mocked the North's young autocrat as a "Rocket Man" on a "suicide mission".

"We have developed strong allies and alliances internationally and we are engaging with North Korea's most important supporters, economic supporters, their friend, China and Russian Federation to have them also engage with Kim Jong Un".

"I will surely and definitely tame the mentally deranged USA dotard with fire", Kim said on Thursday, according to The Associated Press.

Whoa. And we thought SNL was savage with the Trump digs... Muir said. "Will there be military action?"

Thornton added that Kim Jong Un's goal is "to fulfill a long-term desire on the part of the North Korean regime to reunify the Korean Peninsula under the Kim family regime and proliferate these weapons and blackmail other countries".
