Terrell Owens Added To Season 25 Of Dancing With The Stars

He's the latest in a long line of National Football League wide receivers to star on the dancing show, following Jerry Rice, Antonio Brown, and Chad Johnson.

The HGTV star has a black belt in karate, which he and Slater believe will be their secret weapon on the dance floor.

Dancing With the Stars season 25 premieres on ABC on Monday, September 18, at 8 p.m. ET.

As previously reported, Owens will compete against Property Brothers' Drew Scott, former National Basketball Association star Derek Fisher, actor-singer Jordan Fisher, Nick and Vanessa Lachey, violinist Lindsey Stirling, Frankie Muniz and former paralympic swimmer Victoria Arlen.

The former San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys star may not be familiar with the samba and other ballroom style dances that are performed on DWTS, but fans of the 43-year-old know all too well just how much Owens likes to shake his groove thang.

Following the reveal of the season's cast and their pros, the show typically touches on a few news updates before interviewing the cast and their pros to give us a glimpse at the chemistry they share.

Owens appeared on "Good Morning America" Tuesday to announce he'll be teaming up with two-time "DWTS" champion Cheryl Burke, who once won it all with Emmitt Smith. It is definitely not in my wheelhouse. "I'm an athletic guy, I'm a sporty guy and I like taking on a challenge, but I've never danced before". "But don't get me wrong, I'm still - from people that have seen me on Dancing with the Stars - I am still strict, I'm stern and I expect the best out of my students. He's a performer. I'm definitely going to use that to our advantage".

"We've actually done two rehearsals", Drew said on GMA last week.

"I am the brother with the rhythm", Jonathan Scott joked, saying Drew could always reach out, "if you need somebody who is going to show you some of the moves".
