Serena Williams welcomes first child

Serena Williams

Serena and Alexis announced their engagement on December 29, 2016. "I'm so used to me-me-me, taking care of my health, my body, my career. I was only going to wait 5 or 6 more days". And we're talking about a minority of players. But I have a lot of time still.... She was with rapper Common for a couple of years and notably was also seen canoodling with Drake.

"Oh my God, this can't be-I've got to play a tournament". Hey, I'm the youngest of five!

CB: So how have you handled those months without being on tour with Serena? But clearly there's something missing of course.

"I feel I have improved a lot as a tennis player", Muguruza reflected on her performances compared to past year. And we always had a great time together.

It came with the caption "20 weeks", but was then deleted without explanation before official confirmation came several hours later.

The 35-year-old American has not competed ever since winning the Australian Open 2017 after beating her older sister Venus in the title match.

Venus was not the only one very, very excited about Serena giving birth.

Check back here as we will be updating this developing story.

"I don't know what to do with a baby", the she told Vanity Fair. I am so happy for you and I feel your emotion. Her answer: "Don't underestimate me".

"If she puts her tennis second, she might be not as good as she could be and this she will not accept".

USA tennis legend Chris Evert meanwhile chimed: "I'm so thrilled for her. We're going to use that table", she replied. When she saw it was positive, she couldn't believe her eyes. There's no guarantee in sports but that an outstanding challenge for her. It'll depend on the date from when she can really be back working at 100%.

She reportedly gave birth to a baby girl that day after clearing an entire hospital floor in order to welcome her first child in total privacy. In addition, she has competed in four Olympic Games for Team USA, including the Olympic Games Rio 2016 past year. She learned she was pregnant just before the Australian Open in January, which she went on to win.
