Savanna Greywind's boyfriend now has full custody over his daughter, Haisley Jo

Tragic Savanna Lafontaine-Greywind

Experts had previously said it was possible LaFontaine-Greywind was the victim of womb raiders, people who cut babies out of pregnant women to steal them.

Little Haisley Jo was seen publicly for the first time at LaFontaine-Greywind's funeral on Thursday.

She had gone upstairs in her north Fargo apartment building to help a neighbor who asked her to model a dress that the neighbor was sewing.

Calls seeking comment from attorneys for Crews and Hoehn, the Fargo Police Department, the Cass County Social Services, the Cass County District Attorney and a representative for the LaFontaine-Greywind family were not immediately returned.

"I've been waiting to be a father for a while", Matheny told the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

"It was a very attractive service befitting of Savanna". "It was wonderful that Haisley Jo was able to spend those moments along with her family, as well".

Ashton Matheny, boyfriend of the slain Fargo woman, Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind, now has full legal custody of their baby girl, Haisley Jo.

Neighbours reported hearing the cries of a baby coming from the house of her neighbours', Brooke Lynn Crews (38) and William Henry Hoehn (32). It is not clear when she will be released from the hospital.

Police searched the apartment and then arrested Crews and Hoehn when they found the couple with a newborn baby, who they believed to be the child of missing Savanna.

Crews and Cohen were charged with conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit kidnapping and giving false information to police, PEOPLE reports.

Hoehn said he disposed of garbage bags filled with bloody shoes and towels.

A week later, her body was found in the Red River, wrapped in plastic and duct tape.

Crews initially told police Lafontaine-Greywind gave up her baby, but later admitted that she took advantage of the mother in an attempt to take her baby.
