Sam Bradford (knee) day to day, limited in practice

Killer D, not Bs, sparking Steelers so far

Bradford did not play last Sunday in the Vikings' 26-9 loss to the Steelers.

Zimmer said Monday that Bradford "twisted" the knee "or something" during Minnesota's 29-19 win over New Orleans in the September 11 opener. Bradford said he's done a lot of work to get swelling out/controlled, NFL Network's Tom Peliserro reported.

Bradford underwent an MRI after a fascinating performance in Week 1, but tests were hard to read because the quarterback - following two ACL tears - has so much scar tissue from those injuries, per NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

I don't know what to believe about reports that Bradford is fine for the home game against the Buccaneers next weekend. "Woke up Tuesday, and it just didn't feel very good". Teddy Bridgewater missed all of previous year with a torn ACL and is still out.

"I'd like to think my chances to play are good", Bradford said. "If I'm not actually getting the rep, I'm behind working on the same footwork, the same reads". Case Keenum was held to just 167 yards passing in a spot start.

"I've played through quite a few different bumps and bruises with (his left knee)", Bradford said.

When he worked out before the game on Sunday, Bradford said he hoped a light day of work on Saturday would allow him to move well enough to play.
