The model also claims that she saw the actor - whom she dated since April but split from in July - "repeatedly abusing a panoply of legal and illegal drugs, including without limitation: cocaine, ecstasy, psychedelic mushrooms, and steroidsÂ…". "He then braced his body and violently threw her down his staircase as hard as he could".

Ryan Phillippe's former girlfriend Elsie Hewitt has reportedly filed a lawsuit against him claiming the actor assaulted her earlier this year.

The US site reports that Elsie, 21, maintains on July 4 this year, she went to 43-year-old Ryan's house to collect her belongings but realised he was under the influence of alcohol.

The lawsuit provides more info on the fight, detailing that Ryan was jealous after a party in which Elsie says other men were paying attention to her while he was being "ignored". Phillippe is said to have continued his assault, picking her up and throwing her down the stairs a second time while screaming at her.

She went to the hospital, cops took a report and she got a protective order. She is now working as a model.

A spokesperson for the Lincoln Lawyer star - who has 18-year-old daughter Ava and 13-year-old son Deacon with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon, as well as six-year-old daughter Kai with ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp - has yet to comment on the allegations.

The insider said: "Ryan did not lay a hand on her".

Source close to the actor told TMZ that Elsie was the one who actually attacked Ryan. She physically attacked Ryan, caused a scene and refused to leave his home. The injuries, they add, are from her falling and injuring hurt herself.

In addition, Phillippe isn't facing any charges relating to the incident nor is there a protection order now in place, the insider claimed. At the time it happened, there was a temporary which was terminated only a few days after. We're told Ryan's side finds it amusing Elsie has sent glamour shots of herself to the media and is out for money and fame.

Hewitt's lawyer denied his client was making up the story.

The sources also insist that the LA City Attorney threw out a case against him after an investigation had no fruition.
