"He is now engaged in a "setting" with the government for this and this could happen", Thackeray said at a huge gathering to launch his official Facebook Page.

"One thing that I have understood is that Dawood Ibrahim wants to come back to India".

In a sensational and stunning claim, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray said fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim was in talks with the Centre for a surrender. "But it is Dawood who wants to come back". They will say that we have succeeded in doing what successive Congress governments failed to.

Dawood is wanted by the Indian government in several cases including the 12 March, 1993 serial blasts case. "But, the BJP will claim credit for this to win the next elections", Thackeray predicted. "They will not bring him back, it is his wish", he added. He also alleged that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party will exploit Dawood's return for political benefits by claiming that they managed to bring him back to India. "But the fact is, Dawood himself wants to come back again", he added.

Dawood is designated as a global terrorist and is believed to be hiding in Karachi from where he runs a global crime syndicate.

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe laid the foundation stone of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Train or bullet train project near Sabarmati in Gujarat.

With reference to his facebook page, Thackeray said he would hold Facebook Live once a month, and called it a medium of interaction with them.
