Rahul Gandhi not to talk about AI in United States, confirms Sam Pitroda

Rahul Gandhi

Gandhi will meet global thinkers, political leaders, and Indian diaspora, The Hindu reported.

"Rahul Gandhi is not coming to talk about Artificial Intelligence", Sam Pitroda said.

Rumours that Rahul Gandhi would be addressing a conference on artificial intelligence resulting in trolling ahead of his visit.

He will begin his trip with an address at the University of California, Berkeley, on Tuesday.

Gandhi is also scheduled to meet community members at Marriott Marquis Hotel at Times Square in NY on September 20.

"He is here at the University of California Berkley, where Pandit (Jawaharlal Nehru) addressed in 1949 as the Prime Minister". The visit could possibly be the first time in his political career that Gandhi would hold public meetings, meet political leaders and deliver speeches in the country.

Apart from giving a speech at Berkeley where his great grandfather Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first prime minister, delivered a speech in 1949, Rahul will be visiting overseas Indians in NY, a think tank community in Washington DC and will also likely meet members of the US's ruling Republican party. The Congress leader will also be interacting with businessmen and people from the corporate world at a programme organised by the US-India Business Council. "Gandhi may meet some members of the ruling Republican Party". We need to really talk about Indian aspirations, Indian concerns about what is going on not just in India but the world over.

Gandhi, 47, will travel to Los Angeles from San Francisco.

The foreign tours of Rahul Gandhi are known for attracting controversies, and this time too, things are no different.

He tweeted:"I have seen news in media that Rahul Gandhi is coming to the United States to give a talk on Artificial Intelligence".
