Premier League Teams All Through Round Four Of The English League Cup

The 21-year-old French worldwide has started just one league match for Jose Mourinho this season but came off the bench to score a penalty in last week's 4-0 win over Everton.

The France global is locked in a battle with Marcus Rashford to start on the left of Mourinho's front three this season, but he has still scored four goals in seven games, including one in a man-of-the-match performance against Burton Albion in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

Martial is now battling Marcus Rashford for playing time, but he seems to be thriving in the position battle, as he's scored four goals already across all competitions. "We look happy playing football in this moment and that's what I want". It's hard for all of them.

Although the 22-year-old came on as a half-time substitute in United's 4-1 win over Burton Albion in the EFL Cup on Wednesday, Mourinho insists that Saturday's game against the Saints has come too early for the player.

"Nobody deserves to be on the bench".

It was only a minor irritation as United produced a vibrant display with Rashford, leading the line instead of the rested Romelu Lukaku, in deadly form as the Red Devils eased through to a fourth-round trip to Swansea.

"If the competition is an official competition then it is important for Manchester United and for me as a manager", he added.

"He's improving a lot", said Mourinho. "No idea, but again, this is a great opportunity for other players to play and I trust them all".

"Where the connection between the players the fans, and the team looks stronger and stronger". The striker subsequently requested that they stop singing it, yet asked about the issue Mourinho said: "Don't ask me these questions. It's just a process, he doesn't play for a long, long time".

"They're stable in how they play, the quality of their players". They were able to grab all three points against Crystal Palace, but suffered a defeat against Watford in the Premier League and Wolverhampton in the Carabao Cup. But matches away at Southampton are usually quite tough, so it is entirely possible that Mourinho fields a team that is close to the Best XI we have seen in the past few games.
