No Official Bootloader Unlock Method For The Nokia 8

Unfortunately for those who are hopping back onto the Nokia bandwagon, it seems that HMD Global has no plans to provide users of the Nokia 8 an official bootloader unlocking method for now. Huawei and Samsung are now testing the latest software for their smartphones.

Android 8.0 Oreo updates may soon come for several smartphones as their brands are testing devices for the latest Google software. Along with the Android Oreo update, the OxygenOS is expected to be updated to work alongside the new update. This means the testing has begun and we should expect the update before the end of... However, the tech firm has yet to announce the official release date of the update. Also, HMD has committed to timely releasing the software updates including monthly security patches fixes to its smartphones. Nonetheless, an executive of the Finnish company recently stated that they will launch the Android Oreo to their Nokia 3, 5 and 6 before 2017 ends. The Geekbench spotting suggests that the OnePlus 5 smartphone might be close to officially receiving beta updates for the new OS. And now, the OnePlus flagship has been spotted on GeekBench running Android Oreo.

Google's Android Oreo started rolling out for Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones along with Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, and Pixel C tablet devices early September. The smartphone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 chipset, coupled with 2GB of RAM, and a 5-inch HD display. The handset is available in two configurations, i.e. 6GB RAM/64GB storage and 8GB RAM/128GB storage.
