Responding to a query on whether Yadav was enjoying a good support in the BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh, Katiyar said the JD (U) was not bothered about who joined hands with the rebel leader.

He also claimed that the Sardar Sarovar Dam inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday would not be of much help to the common man.

Mr. Kumar also disapproved of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's remark at the University of California in Berkeley, U.S. last week that dynasties were a fact of life in India.

"We will ally with Congress as also other parties like the CPI (M) and CPI", Vasava told a press conference, a day after his appointment at a National Executive meeting organised by the Yadav faction.

The state polls are slated for later this year. Nineteen State presidents of the outfit and other members of the executive took part in the meeting in which it was chose to render all decisions previously taken by Nitish Kumar as party President as "invalid".

Asked about Kumar's position in the party, Vasava claimed he had left the organisation. Yadav and his supporters refused to endorse Kumar's move and accused him of going against the party line.

They have already approached the Rajya Sabha chairman to disqualify Yadav and another party MP Ali Anwar over their alleged anti-party activities.

Yadav has been at loggerheads with Kumar after the Bihar Chief Minister broke the grand alliance with RJD and Congress and returned to the NDA fold.
