Kevin White likely out for the season

Fantasy Football Breaking News

Fantasy Impact If White's collarbone is indeed broken, he will likely undergo a season ending surgery to fix the ailment, per reports. Rookie Tarik Cohen wound up leading Chicago in targets with 12.

Per Fox, surgery may not be required for the injury and relaxed Injured Reserve rules could allow the Bears to get White back on the field before the end of the season. Fox didn't detail the extent of White's injury, but confirmed he had hurt his shoulder. In 2016, he played in four games before suffering a fractured fibula in the same leg.

White left the Bears home opener in the fourth quarter with a left shoulder injury and didn't return. It's another devastating blow to injury-riddled White, who appeared in just his fifth National Football League game as a third-year pro Sunday versus the Falcons. What a bad break for White.

The 25-year-old White has 21 catches in five career games. It has not worked out at all so far, and it is feared that it may not work at all. This will also be the second time this season the Bears put a starting wide receiver on the injured reserved. Cam Meredith is already out for the season with an ACL injury so as of right now it would rely on Kendall Wright, Josh Bellamy, Deonte Thompson and Tre McBride. Chicago's plan has been for Glennon to be a bridge to the guy who they believe to be their franchise quarterback of the future-when he's ready, not when circumstances dictate giving him a try.
