Jürgen Klopp backs Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to go to the next level

Ings joined Liverpool from Burnley in 2015 but his stint at Anfield has been disrupted by injury

Jurgen Klopp will select Philippe Coutinho in the starting line-up for tonight's League Cup game away at Leicester City, as per a report from Paul Joyce of The Times.

Writing in his column for the Daily Mail, Redknapp believes that Liverpool's main issue lies in attack and he feels that forwards Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge need to improve in front of goal.

"From today's perspective yes, we have the resources, but we will see how it is again in January", Klopp said.

Liverpool travel to the King Power Stadium on Tuesday to face Leicester City in the Carabao Cup (League Cup) third round tie as they attempt to put Premier League struggles behind them.

"At one point we didn't have the opportunity to line up with the strongest side and a lot of England legends said I didn't respect the cup competitions, which is obviously not so nice". That is the plan.

"There is no rush but we are in this three-game-a-week rhythm and during the worldwide break he was with the national team".

Jurgen Klopp has made eight changes from the side that drew 1-1 with Burnley at the weekend as Danny Ward comes in to make his first appearance of the season.

The Reds are on a run of three games without a win, having followed up their thrashing of Arsenal with a defeat at the hands of Man City, and draws with Sevilla and Burnley. Of course, it's a little bit odd that we play Leicester again on the weekend. The semi-final against Southampton a year ago was for us the wrong possible moment, that's true, but we couldn't change that.

He also suggested Dominic Solanke could make his full debut for the club, praising the young striker's contribution when called upon this season so far.

The England youth worldwide has made four substitute appearances for his new club so far, and almost scored the victor against Burnley on the weekend, only to be denied by the crossbar. He doesn't care too much about this. If you look at the 125 years of Liverpool, then you can see the problem.
