Instagram live video leads to Texas fugitive's arrest in Woodland Hills

The Texas Department of Public Safety's website said Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017 that Gonzalez who was named one of Texas' 10 Most Wanted fugitives was arrested in Los Angeles.

A Texas murder suspect bragged about his extensive weapons collection over Instagram Live Tuesday, inadvertently leading police directly to him for his arrest.

Gonzalez was wanted for his alleged involvement in a string of home invasions and aggravated robberies in Dallas between last October and February.

He is accused of fatally shooting Horace Davis, 54, in Dallas previous year. A murder warrant was issued for his arrest on August 21.

The crash was reported shortly after 12:30 a.m.in the area of West Chester Drive and Kingsboro Way, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

Dallas police contacted the LAPD after Gonzalez live-streamed a video of a shotgun and other weapons on Instagram. It led officers to his location.

After viewing the video, Dallas cops contacted the LAPD and California authorities were able to locate the fugitive's SUV in Woodland Hills after getting the crucial Global Positioning System information. After crashing, they fled on foot and tried to hide.

One of Texas' most wanted fugitives has been captured following a short pursuit in Woodland Hills early Tuesday. Both men were taken to the hospital to be checked out for bite wounds. He is affiliated with a clique of the infamous Bloods gang.

He is being held in the Los Angeles County Jail but will be extradited back to Dallas.
