Diego Costa Wrap Up Deal — Atletico Madrid

Watch Manchester United legend Roy Keane slams Chelsea star

According to Spanish publication Marca, Atletico Madrid and the Blues have agreed a deal for the 28-year-old wantaway striker, and the move should be announced soon.

The Spanish global has spent the summer back in his native Brazil after Blues Boss Antonio Conte told last season's top scorer he has no future at Stamford Bridge.

The London club is expecting to receive 60 million euros payment for the striker. That would be the most expensive transfer in Atletico Madrid history.

The Spain global striker was brought into the Stamford Bridge fold, to replace Diego Costa.

The forward has apparently already sold his London home and is in the process of moving his family back to Madrid, where he is expected to play come January. The transfer window opens until then and Diego Siemeone's side are now banned from signing any players until then.

Chelsea return to the Champions League this week but did not include Costa in their squad.

Costa left Los Colchoneros for Chelsea after winning La Liga title in 2014.

Chelsea aren't budging and whilst Marca say a deal for Costa's transfer to Atletico Madrid "should be closed this week", they also believe it will be for around the headline figure of €60m.

With 2018 a World Cup year, Costa will have six months to prove to Spain manager Julen Lopetegui he is worth a place in the squad, should they reach Russian Federation.
