Cold front brings a drop in temperature and an unsettled weather pattern

Afternoon storm chances in the forecast for Friday but drop off heading into the weekend

Mon: High: 88 Low: 67 Morning clouds, then mostly sunny, P.M. storms. We continue to countdown to fall with the first official day of the season arriving on Friday with temperatures in the upper 80s. Highs will be in the upper 70s to mid 80s for much of the week with dewpoints in the upper 60s over most of the KWWL viewing area.

The cold front stalls near the Kansas/Oklahoma state-line Sunday.

The focus for the next round of showers and thunderstorms Monday night into Tuesday morning will tend to be further north as a frontal boundary lifts north out of the area. It will also be noticeably cooler with highs in the low 70s. By the end of the week, temperatures will climb into the low to mid 80s, so expect hot and humid weather. Partly cloudy. Scattered showers/storms.

A big storm trough out west should eventually move east and increase our chances for showers and t'storms later next weekend or next week.

Patchy fog is in store today before 11 a.m. on an otherwise partly-sunny day with a high reaching 80.

Thursday should be mostly sunny with a high near 82 and a low around 61.
