Charlotte Flair Wishes She Had Been More Supportive Of Her Father's Career

The 68-year-old, who is fighting for his life after years of alcohol abuse, says he cringes to think that his grandchildren will know that he slept with roughly 10,000 women over the years - an admission he initially made to ESPN's 30 for 30 in a special to air in November.

"It's very hard to get numbers like that", Jeremy said, mentioning Wilt Chamberlain and John Holmes, who both claimed to have slept with 20,000 women. She admitted that after her brother passed away, it could have been rock bottom for them, but her wrestling career helped introduce a new chapter in her life. While Fliehr could have focused the book on her wrestling career and working with her father, she chose to open up about her personal life for the first time, and talk about subjects she had never made public before. "I never dreamed of success, I just worked for it", said Flair.

He added: "I wish I hadn't said that because of my grandkids". I wasn't ready for that. I need him around, his fiancé needs him, his other two kids - my sister Megan and my brother David - we all need him. I feel like my dad having to slow down from being sick, this was like the first time since my brother passing that it was kind of a regrouping for the entire family.

"I'm not ashamed", Fliehr said. "I had already lost Reid and for me, my dad is the biggest part of my life and I couldn't imagine not having my dad to call before every segment. I do this: at WrestleMania 32, when I was so nervous, and had so much other pressure on me, it was Paul who said, 'go out there and prove to them why you're the center of that poster'". "I literally had no idea what I was getting myself into when I showed up at FCW in Tampa".

"Then that's when I decided", she continued. She was assigned to their development territory at the time, Florida Championship Wrestling, which soon became NXT and moved to Orlando. The original plan was for both of them to wrestle at WWE. So I was able to slow down and realize it's a marathon, not a sprint.
