The junior passed for 180 yards with two touchdowns and ran for 88 with two more scores. Aeris Williams added 146 yards for Mississippi State, which rushed for 285 yards in the game.

Mississippi State sophomore WR Keith Mixon caught six passes for 97 yards and a touchdown in a 37-7 victory over LSU on Saturday.

Bryant hit Deon Cain for another touchdown on Clemson's final drive before the half, but the play was called back due to offsetting penalties. Freshman Jace Christmann made the first three field goals of his career, connecting from 30, 45 and 27 yards.

If this game was a measuring stick, then Mississippi State proved No. 12 LSU wasn't ready to size up.

For the Tigers, Derrius Guice led the way with 76 yards on 15 carries and Etling finished 13-for-29 for 137 yards.

LSU tied it at 7 in the second quarter on Darrel Williams' 10-yard touchdown run.

After the game, several players said they were embarrassed by the lack of discipline and number of penalties by the Tigers.

Mississippi State: It's a huge win for the Bulldogs, who now have a very interesting road game against Georgia next weekend.

The Tigers will have a chance to get right when Syracuse comes to town next Saturday, but their SEC opener has left a lot to be desired.
