"They looked hungrier and I think they deserved to victory, we came into the game with a plan, but we were forced to make an early substitution after Isaac Twum got injured".

Ezenwa has been in fantastic form for both the Super Eagles main team and the Home-based team and has not conceded a goal from open play while in goal in the last 7 matches against Togo, Cameroon, Benin Republic, Sierra Leone, Mali and Ghana.

NAN reports that Nigeria will take on Republic of Benin in Thursday's semi-finals, while Ghana will face Niger Republic in the other semi-final pairing. We look forward to the semifinals with confidence.

While Ghana will take on the Runner-up in Group B in the first semifinal match by 3pm, Nigeria will take on the Group's victor in the second semifinal match by 6pm. They need to prepare very well for their semi final game with the conviction that they can win it and qualify for the final.

"It wasn't the best of games for us and I must congratulate Nigeria for their performance, they showed much determination", Konadu said.

The home-based Eagles, who had two points from their draws against Mali and Guines, fought hard to scale to the semi-final.

The Super Eagles had to win in order to progress further in the tournament and they did just that with second half goals from Anthony Okpotu and Peter Moses handing the Super Eagles a 2-0 win over hosts Ghana at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Monday, 18 September 2017.

"So, you can imagine how it will be if both teams also meet in the final match, " Ezah said. The two semifinal matches will hold at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium, Cape Coast.
