Dave Matthews Band, Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake, Chris Stapleton, Ariana Grande, Brittany Howard, The Roots and More Confirmed for Concert for Charlottesville

The event is to take place at the University of Virginia's Scott Stadium in Charlottesville on September 24, with doors opening at 3:30 p.m. See additional information through the Concert for Charlottesville website.

The concert is set to take place at the University of Virginia's Scott Stadium in Charlottesville and will feature other stars such as Pharrell Williams and Chris Stapleton, according to the report. An online ticket request period is now underway at concertforcharlottesville.com and will end on Monday, September 11th at noon ET. The show is free, but the Dave Matthews Band is encouraging attendees to make a donation to the Concert for Charlottesville Fund, which aims to benefit victims, first responders and related organizations.

Tickets will be given out in priority to the residents of the greater Charlottesville area and affiliated UVA individuals followed by those who submit themselves into the online ticket request system before Monday, September 11, at 12 p.m. EST. There will also be a limited number of free tickets at the John Paul Jones Arena box office starting September 15 at 10AM EST. Then it opens up to anybody (but don't count on any tickets being available after Virginia).

The Dave Matthews Band started an indefinite hiatus after ending their 2016 tour at The Gorge over last Labor Day Weekend.

Charlottesville was thrust into the spotlight in August after white nationalists, the KKK and other hate groups chose the spot to organize a demonstration.
