The president also predicted a boom in tourism for the US territory in light of the North Korean threat. Good morning. I just wanted to pay my respects, and we are with you 1,000 percent.

The South Carolina senator said the United States is "absolutely" prepared to act on the North Korean nuclear threat, one day after Trump warned that North Korea would "be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen" if they continued to threaten America. "All over the world they're talking about Guam and they're talking about you", the clip, about 45 seconds long, showed the President as saying. Guam's governor, Eddie Calvo, said late Wednesday during an interview on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" with fill-in host Brian Kilmeade: "As far as I'm concerned, as an American citizen, I want a president that says that if any nation such as North Korea attacks Guam, attacks Honolulu, attacks the West Coast, that they will be met with hell and fury".

Mr Trump and Mr Calvo were speaking over the phone.

"They should have had me eight years ago, or at least somebody with my thought process", Trump said.

The governor of Guam appeared to agree with the president, telling him "we've got 95 per cent occupancy and after all this stuff comes down we're going to have 110 per cent occupancy". "It looks handsome, you know I'm's such a big story in the news". "This is a time of threat to the United States".

During the phone call Mr Calvo laments criticism of Mr Trump, saying "from a guy that's being targeted, we need a president like you".

Trump praised the military, bashed an "obstructionist Congress" and told Calvo how tourism would be boosted for Guam without spending money. "But you're going to be taken care of".

Trump joked that after North Korean tensions slacken, Guam will see a "tenfold" increase in tourism.

"You know what, that could looks so attractive to me", Trump said. It included information on how to build an emergency supply kit, make an emergency family plan, make a list of potential concrete shelters near your home, and to not look at the flash or fireball because it can blind you.

Trump went on to congratulate Calvo for "becoming extremely famous", adding, "All over the world they're talking about Guam".

Guam's Office of Civil Defense started passing out flyers on Friday to help residents prepare for a missile attack from North Korea.
