The New Mercedes Maybach is 20 Feet long

Mercedes-Maybach goes green with Vision 6 Cabriolet

The concept of this vehicle has been released before to the Pebble Beach Concours d'-elegance, that happened a year ago. Audi, BMW, and Porsche have also introduced their advanced electric concepts in the past year. The hood, which traditionally houses the engine in conventional luxury cars, now serves as a luggage compartment specifically designed for this Maybach 6.

Starting with the exterior, the 6 Cabriolet concept has a nautical blue metallic finish and a massive grille that is inspired by pinstriped suits.

The new device is an electric vehicle, the power up to 750 horsepower.

Last year, at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, Mercedes-Maybach took the covers off a gorgeous Vision 6 Concept.

The concept measures almost 20 feet in length and includes a superlong hood, flowing lines and an extended, round "boat tail" rear meant to recall the look of a luxury yacht. Further distinctive features at the rear include the diffuser with aluminum frame and the air outlets behind the wheel arches. A light wing flows in a curve across the door trim and the center tunnel into the seat landscape, creating a 360° open-air luxury lounge. There's a custom-made fabric hood to keep the rain off, "with interwoven rose gold threads". The seats are covered in crystal white nappa leather and the diamond pattern on them has been aesthetically covered up as it is usually done in Chesterfield sofas. The wooden floor with aluminium inlays, minimalistic cock-pit with blue surround (what the Mercedes calls a 360degree lounge) and the exotic materials further add to the nobility of the yacht-themed auto.

Drivers will find themselves behind an instrument cluster that features classic round gauges with working needles. It is equipped an 80 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack placed under its floors and four permanent-magnet synchronous electric motors, which can provide the Cabriolet a combined 550kW. This not only allows performance characteristics typical of a sports auto (acceleration from 0-60 mph in under four seconds, top speed electronically governed at 155 mph) but also a range of over 200 miles (500 kilometers according to the NEDC). The model also features a quick-charge function which can deliver 100 km (62 miles) of range in just five minutes.

Limited to 300 examples worldwide, the Mercedes Maybach S-Class Cabriolet is the first open-top Maybach for decades and a homage to open-top automotive refinement.
