THE DEFENDERS is the Fun Marvel Team-Up Show We've Been Waiting for

One of Marvel's most successful creative endeavors has been its line of street-level Netflix shows, focusing on characters like Luke Cage, Daredevil, and Jessica Jones. So whatever creative form those seasons take, they'll be influenced by the fallout of The Defenders. And Danny Rand is brought back to NY from Cambodia, where he was chasing The Hand with girlfriend Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick). And the new series does a good job of refreshing us on each character and what they've been up to since their standalone series without feeling like an information dump.

Though the Marvel Netflix lineup is considered to be far superior from the Marvel shows at ABC, some fans have admitted that the shows do tend to drag at some points.

Starring Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Finn Jones, Charlie Cox, Sigourney Weaver, Elodie Yung, Rosario Dawson and Jessica Henwick plus many more familiar faces from each series.

The very first comic of The Defenders was launched December 1, 1971. Matt Murdock never really becomes Daredevil until the very last episode of the first season. The main characters bounce off each other beautifully, radiating a chemistry that would have been hard to develop for the limited screentime, but which still works out. If the first few episodes of the Defenders we had left on our hunger, our advice is to kick the unanimous Sigourney Weaver in the skin of the big bad. I've certainly met people like her-mostly men. Just as they might get their hands on one of them, a mysterious figure stops them. Jessica Jones is lovely as ever, drunk and not taking life as well as she should be, but at least she's still talking to Trish.

It's been some time since we've seen Cox's Daredevil, or Ritter's Jessica Jones on screen, and both of these loved characters' return to screen in this fearsome foursome should be the shining lights in this long-awaited series.

In a way, the character is the linchpin that keeps the early episodes together as it cuts between the four superheroes' stories, which includes numerous secondary characters in the series such as Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple and Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing.

Colleen WingThe former Hand apprentice has shifted allegiances before-will she stay loyal to Danny in "The Defenders?". The Defenders will be eight episodes long and should be going live any moment now on Netflix apps around the world.

Royal Dragon is largely without action, but I found it just as exciting to see them come together and interrogate one another. The show actually does him a favor by pairing him with Cage, who gives the poor little rich kid a speech about privilege that the screenwriters probably cribbed from a criticism of Iron Fist on Reddit.
