Sir Mo edges closer to another gold

Farah's invincibility ended in final track race

Having won the 10,000m last Friday the track legend set himself up for another sparkling double. "I am going to do it", he assured, breaking into a smile. You'll see me at the start line.

He said post race: "I'm a bit exhausted but you have just got to recover".

"I'm cold, it was miserable out there but it's job done". I had to switch off and go again. It's been five days of chilling out and recovering. But at least I could run better than my personal best. It is just my body's a bit exhausted.

"The doctors and the team have been great for me". It is hard to pick yourself back up and go out there to race so soon.

The prize that awaits Farah on Saturday night is a glittering one.

"I feel happy that I ran with Mo Farah".

"It ain't easy. You have seen that with Usain Bolt". No one is going to give it to you, no matter who you are. "But these boys are hungry and they are coming for me and I'm not taking anything for granted". "You could see in the heat, they wanted to prove a point and show me". I could not qualify for the final round but I am not disappointed because I have done my best.

He told the BBC: "I'm still running heartbroken". To run along with him was one of my dreams and I did that today. "I have to be ready". "Then I could run the 200".
