Rogic stars in Celtic's UCL play-off win

Scott Sinclair celebrates after scoring in Celtic's 5-0 victory over Astana on Wednesday

"I think the problem is Manchester City, I don't think it's the player, I don't think it's Brendan".

It was hardly a whirlwind start by Celtic but Sinclair miscued his shot from 10 yards in the fourth minute and Griffiths then headed a Forrest cross past the post with only goalkeeper Aleksandr Mokin to beat.

"We're a more mature group as a result".

MADRID, SPAIN - OCTOBER 21: Yeldos Akhmetov (2ndL) of FC Astana claps to his fans surrounded by Junior Kabananga (L) and Zhakyp Kozhamberdy (R) after loosing the UEFA Champions League Group C match between Club Atletico de Madrid and FC Astana at Vicente Calderon stadium on October 21, 2015 in Madrid, Spain.

Speaking on BT Sport, ex-Celtic striker Sutton said: "I've had it on good authority that Patrick Roberts will sign for Celtic".

"How composed they were throughout the game, the quality".

Classy Celtic steal the show: This time a year ago, Celtic nervously battled their way past FC Astana to reach the play-off round with a 3-2 aggregate victory before somewhat unconvincingly sealing their place in the group stages after a narrow 5-4 win over two legs against Hapoel Be'er Sheva.

"It makes or breaks our season, getting into the Champions League".

"We don't have to win but we want to go there and perform well".

With Kieran Tierney maintaining a high line throughout, Celtic effectively played a three-man defence with the soon-to-be-Bosnian defender charged with closely monitoring the movements of Astana's main goal threat, restricting the Congolese early on to a long-range hopeful potshot that went tamely wide.

Rogic and Griffiths' have both officially gone down as own goals, but it's clear who deserves the credit.

A groggy Rogic was replaced by Callum McGregor and Logvinenko by Abzal Beysebekov. His shot took a deflection off the Astana captain Igor Shitov for the fifth goal which, surely, ensures his side's place in the group draw.

Nice were reduced to nine men in the 79th minute when Vincent Koziello was given a straight red card for a studs-up challenge on Piotr Zielinski and Alassane Plea was given a yellow card for protesting - his second of the game.

Dries Mertens opened the scoring in the 13th minute.
