Rev Richard Coles announced as the fifth celeb for Strictly Come Dancing

Emmerdale star Gemma Atkinson joins Strictly Come Dancing

I am so excited, I'm really nervous as well.

He says: "It was an easy decision to make because I think it's obvious to anyone who knows me that a major dance talent is waiting to be discovered".

Rev Coles is the latest celeb announced to the star studded lineup including Gemma Atkinson, Ruth Langsford, Davood Ghadami and Mollie King.

'It will be a welcome change worrying about my next hot move instead of my next hot flush!'

Ruth had always been one of the most sought-after contestants, and a source recently confirmed that she "has had long talks with show bosses and, barring any injury, will be waltzing her way on to the show this autumn". "It's going to be a lot of hard work but I'm ready for the challenge". "See you under the Glitterball!" Best known for his role as Kush Kazemi in EastEnders, Davood said, "Having the opportunity to take part in this year's Strictly is such an honour".

A delighted Ruth said: "I feel a bit shaky now actually". The other girls don't know... well they do now!'

It will be the first series without Len Goodman on the judging panel but there is a very exciting replacement.

The forthcoming series will see legendary choreographer Shirley Ballas claim Len Goodman's Head Judge seat following his shock departure at the end of a year ago and, although the fellow panelists - Darcey Bussell, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli - are excited to have her on board, they're convinced she'll stand her ground.

Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year. He's the fifth celebrity confirmed for the 2017 line-up.

Strictly is set to hit TV screens next month.
